Does our education system have standards? Its absolutely bazaar when i hear?

one guy talk about how our planet is not made of the same thing as our neighboring planets and others that talk about a 6000 year old earth made in 6 days – what the hell is going on hear – are these people for real – what am i dealing with here – children -

Why is it that the more standards State and Federal Departments of Education bureacracies put forth, the worse things get?
Why not limit the government from being in the classroom?
